Confidence Building Exercises

Your confidence role model

We mentioned in the "What is confidence?" module the value of thinking about what confidence actually is and describing how a person with confidence would walk, talk and behave.

This exercise goes one step further and creates the person that you want to become as far as confidence is concerned.

In order to be successful it is really important that you have a visual image of how you would like to act, walk, talk, think and move you body so that you know what to aspire to.

After all, isn't acquiring confidence a goal after all?

And like all goals, you must know exactly what you are after and how you are going to get it.

When you feel low in confidence, just think of your CONFIDENCE ROLE MODEL and ask yourself:

"How would my confidence role model deal with this situation?"

Then, I'd like you to act like your role model.

PRACTICAL

I'd like you to think about the person that you would like to become with regards to your confidence levels.

You may have someone that you aspire to who has bags of confidence - they might be a friend, a working colleague, someone famous or someone that you see who oozes confidence and self esteem.

Alternatively, this is your opportunity for you to start from scratch - how would you like to act, talk, walk, think and what would your body language be.

Think long and hard over this.
